Ross Computer Systems is chosen by Motorola to participate in beta program for the new Patriot (MC9500) mobile device.

New York, NY – Ross Computer Systems has been selected by Motorola, a producer of rugged mobile devices for the DSD industry, as one of a small group of partners to be included in the beta testing program for their new Patriot (MC9500) mobile device. The device will be the premier offering from Motorola to the DSD route accounting industry. Ross will have the opportunity to work first hand with the Motorola product team responsible for designing, building and supporting the new Patriot device, which will be released next year. This will give Ross the opportunity to fine tune their route accounting mobile application on the new device before it hits the market.

Ross Computer Systems Hosts Fall User Group Conference for DSD Route Accounting Customers

New York, NY – Ross Computer Systems announces its Fall 2005 RAMS Application Conference schedule to take place in two parts: October 17- 21 and November 14 –18, 2005. The schedule for the conference follow a similar format as previous User Group conferences held in April and May of this year, allowing RAMS users throughout the country who were not able to attend the Spring conference the opportunity to take the same classes that were offered. Scheduled topics for the October session include Set/Up and File Maintenance and a Technical Series focused on AS/400 Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Data Query functionality, as well as Custom Menus and Operations. Ross Computer System Exhibits at the Worldwide Food Expo

New York, NY - Ross Computer Systems exhibited during the Worldwide Food Expo (WWFE 03) at Chicago’s McCormick Center. The show, which is held biannually, took place October 29 – November 1, 2003. Ross has always felt this show to be a vital piece of the company’s growth and continued customer relations. This year was no different, as Ross’ Executive Vice President Lou Schumacher said, “Many new prospects were encouraged by our robust offerings and a steady flow of current customers stopped by to talk about their success stories and plans for the future.” For over 20 years, Ross has been a part of one or more of the associations that comprise the WWFE, including the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and has been exhibiting at their related shows for as many years. This year’s numbers suggest it was the largest in WWFE history. About the Worldwide Food Expo Worldwide Food Expo ’03 is the year’s largest food and beverage processing and packaging event in the world, covering more than a million square feet of exhibits and featuring 1,200 of the world’s leading suppliers. More than 30,000 attendees from 150 countries visited the show to learn about the new technologies, trends and ideas. New York, NY – Ross Computer Systems announced the release of its newest RAMS host system application, a Microsoft® Windows based, order-to-cash Y2K certified system for the route accounting, direct store delivery and manufacturing industry. As the next generation of Ross’ Novell PC based host system, this new RAMS application offers the order to cash modules of master tables, order entry, standing orders, load sheets, delivery tickets, warehouse inventory, route settlement, accounts receivables and sales analysis. The manufacturing application offers recipe formulation, manufacturing formulation and costing, and production scheduling, reconciliation and reporting.

New York, NY - Ross Computer Systems announces the first route accounting software application for Pocket PC PDA-style devices. These devices, which cost approximately 20% of a traditional, rugged route accounting devices, will significantly reduce the total cost of ownership of a mobile route accounting solution. The newest release of Ross’ STORS application, which was written specifically for Pocket PC devices, takes full advantage of the PDA device functionality including color screens and the stylus entry touch screen.

By acquiring Bakers Dozen of New York City, NY, Ross Computer Systems has added a bakery production and manufacturing software application to its suite of product offerings which will significantly increase Ross’ presence in the Bake-to-Order production software industry. The Bakers Dozen application helps to complete the circle of Ross’ software offerings in combination with their route accounting order to cash backend software and their mobile handheld applications.

Ross Computer Systems launches mobile solution for Telxon pen style tablet device

New York, NY – Ross Computer Systems launches the first mobile route accounting solution for the Telxon pen-style tablet hardware device. Building on nearly a decade of mobile software experience, Ross is now able to provide the user a unique application experience by taking advantage of the larger screen the Telxon tablet offers versus the substantially smaller screens currently available on other mobile devices. For the first time, this new release of the Ross STORS handheld system provides drivers with touch screen interaction on the device. Within its mobile software, Ross now leverages the increased screen size by incorporating functionality that allows the drivers to view plan-o-gram layouts of product on the shelf at the store level.

New York, NY - Ross Computer Systems announces its merger with Dimension Data, a Knoxville, Tenn.-based Direct Store Delivery (DSD) route accounting software company. “The merger of the two companies will bolster the combined companies position as a leading route accounting software provider,” says Seymour Weiss, President of Ross Computer Systems. Ross Computer Systems releases Initial Mobile system, TCAL based DSD Mobile Application

New York, NY - Ross Computer Systems announced the releases of its first mobile route accounting DSD solution. The TCAL based application compliments Ross’ backend route accounting host system by providing clients the ability to computerize their mobile route accounting functionality. The mobile system allows route drivers to print delivery invoices on-site at the store when product is delivered. They are also able to enter product returns and make changes to pre-order tickets directly into the handheld device and then transmit that data to the backed host system at the end of the day, removing the need for the delivery information from the route to be keyed into the backend system. The mobile application will settle the routes’ activity upon return to the warehouse.
